I love animals and passionated against their harm, torture and abuse. Animals cannot express their pains and we don't need to add to their sufferings. Tara is a wonderful Buddha to invoke to bless the animals.Be kind to them, don't hurt them, stop their abuse and don't eat them.

Rinpoche is a passionate animal lover, and can often be found speaking out against animal abuse, animal slaughter or just uncaring pet owners who think their pets exist for their pleasure alone. Rinpoche’s passion extends to his spiritual work, resulting in his vision of an animal sanctuary as well as regular animal liberation activities.
And another way to reduce animal abuse is to stop eating them! If you don’t think you can commit to a full vegetarian lifestyle, do consider going vegetarian PART TIME – perhaps once a month or once a week?
What’s more, Rinpoche will make special prayers and offerings for anyone who is willing to try this out – check out this link for more info:

So much pain and suffering…it’s bad enough they are already reborn as animals and not in control of their karma, and on top of that, we who ARE in control (if we choose to be) abuse them? Humans really are ‘creative’ when it comes to abuse, you don’t see animals doing things like this ( http://www.kechara.com/animal-sanctuary/video/shocking-must-watch/ ) to one another.
Those who are interested in ending animal cruelty, Rinpoche has provided other methods, including the Tara practice to against animal cruelty ( http://www.kechara.com/?p=63 ). It’s short and powerful – Mother Tara is so nurturing, so why wouldn’t she be excellent for nurturing animals too?
For my own experience, I find it easy to like animals like pandas and baby elephants, they are cute and teddy-bear’ish like. Yet, I found it difficult to experience the same feelings towards other life forms such as spiders, cocroaches and snakes (for example)…
So what is the difference between a lovely puppy and a frightening scorpion? Why would one deserve care and love from me and the other harm and hatred from me? Why would I support a campaign to save the dolphins from being trapped in the net made to capture tuna, and not have the same compassion towards the tunas themselves? Why being so selective?
After all, aren’t all life forms of equal value? Who am I to make a differenciation between such and such living being, thinking that it is plain and simple immoral to kill this one, and plain and simple totally acceptable to kill another one and even EAT it? Is it ok to campaign for the wellfare of animals while at eating a steak?
Am I fooling myself? Is the food industry fueling this foolish delusion by showing me the cartoonish picture of a cute winking chicken smiling happily right above the ovens where chicken carcasses are being cooked?
As Tsem Tulku Rinpoche said before: ” Each time you damage someone, you go further away from the true clear nature of your being. Each time you eat meat, you choose to ignore the sufferings of animals. It doesn’t go away because you ignore it.”
Rinpoche, thank you for inspiring me to train in compassion.
I remember some of the temples I visited when I was younger; there is always a turtle pond for the public to feed them. Often I will save up some old bread, dry them up under the sun, and bring it to the temple to feed the turtles. There is one temple with a turtle pond near to my grand father’s house. I would often ride on a bicycle on a 15-minute ride from my house to visit my grandfather and hang out with my cousins (few of my uncles and their family live under the same roof with my grandfather). When I got extra dry bread I will bring along to feed the turtles.
Kechara Animal Sanctuary (KAS) plays an important role by saving more than a hundred lives each time an animal liberation takes place. (Please read more on http://www.kechara.com/animal-sanctuary/projects/animal-liberation/). So let’s put our hands together and fulfill H.E. Tsem Rinpoche wishes by liberating animals.
His Eminence Tsem Tulku Rinpoche is a true animal lover. He always shows affection and care towards animals. He shows that care and love towards others have no real barriers. I want to be like him one day. I love animals too. I own five cats, two dogs, two hamsters and a few little fishes. I treat them all as equal as I can. I do not let them exist plainly for my own pleasure. They have extreme sufferings already as an animal. I sincerely do not want to add to any of their pain. They never show they have pain; they are hurting inside, inside of their little hearts. Rinpoche supports vegetarianism; I try to become vegetarian by not consuming meat on certain days, especially those that are specifically auspicious. Whenever, I take a vegan meal, I would think that I am helping a few more cows, chicken or sheep or maybe a pig live another day. My mother is a vegetarian; I hope to be like her one day. Once again, Animals do not need any more sufferings. To all animals that are currently suffering and has no hope to avoid death. I wish them a swift rebirth into a good and nice realm, best to be human, in a peaceful country like Malaysia to be able to touch the glorious Dharma, even not to go full time in to it but at least enough to have certain imprints for their future lives. OM MANI PADME HUM and TAYATHA OM BECKANZE BECKANZE MAHA BECKANZE BECKANZE RANZA SAMUGHATE SOHA !!!
When I was young I use to day dream and think myself to be in the forest with all the Animals surrounding me. And will listen to birds chirping, monkeys chatting, lions roaring with all the other different sounds etc. And when I was asked how would I like my burial to be after I die. I will tell the same story to everyone. I want my body to be cremated. The normal way the Chinese do is to throw the remains of the ashes into the sea. But in my case I want it to be strewn over and into the forest to be with the Animals. Weird huh!
Animals are sentient beings, capable of feeling love, loss, pain and fear. They are as deserving as us of a life free of sufferings and exploitation. Until we can extend our circle of compassion to include all living beings, it is said that humanity will not find peace and happiness! As such how can we turn around eating animals;(representing our mothers, fathers, relatives and loveones.) So take a stance – go help to discourage to abandon lunatic killings and savaged treatment of animals. We should encourage others not to take the life of any being, for to do so results in the worst non-virtuous karma that can be produced. Since every being, be it an insect, fish or human being cherishes its life more than anything else, there is no excuse for taking the life of another. One naturally refrains from eating meat when one fully realises that many living beings are needlessly being killed for food. However, when the animal was specifically killed for one own’s consumption, such act is not conducive to the cultivation of bodhicitta, which leads one towards cherishing others more than oneself.
