Octopus Eats A Shark

Whenever we think about the octopus, we don’t feel very threatened. We are fascinated by how exotic they are… by their flexibility and their intelligence. If we see them swimming in the ocean, we would probably watch from a distance.
Whenever we think about a shark, our first reaction is usually fear. We fear for our lives…we fear for ourselves. We may be fascinated but we feel sheer fear. If we were to see them swimming in the ocean, we would watch from a distance BUT unlike looking at an octopus, we fear that the shark may find and attack us.
Can an soft spineless octopus really kill an aggressive shark?

Giant Pacific Octopus

Erm…it’s hard to comment on a video when all your brain does is utter thoughts of, “Huh…would you look at tha…no…seriously? Oh my God – that just can’t be…hmm, I guess it can…poor shark.”
That’s about all the analysis I could come up with. It’s an interesting video. I’ll bet the Octopus is one of those annoying ones that tells its friends: “I am mostly vegetarian – I only eat fish.”
Kind regards,
Sandy
Guess we shouldn’t assume that those who look fierce are dangerous and those who look soft are nice :p
Looks are so deceiving. Never knew that a soft spineless octopus can be so deadly.
We always think that sharks are aggressive but on the contrary they are not. They may look huge and ever ready to attack, yet they are always caught for their fins to end up in the kitchen as sharks fin soup
Outer appearance is what we impute upon them. What seem to be harmless when given a necessary condition can do shocking opposite action. But when our mental state is trained to be always on the wholesome side, when the condition arises it could also bring huge result that benefit other and oneself. The shark must have thought that octopus is only food that it can eat at any given time and didn’t think that the reverse could happen. The same goes when we let ours alertness down and constantly involved in unwholesome actions because we don’t think that one day the result could ripen upon us.
I fully agree with those who have commented on this blog that appearance can be deceiving. The Shark can be a killer and looks fierce. Whereas the Octopus looks soft and harmless. If you look more into the video and study the sharks body and the Octopus body you may end up with a different view and conclusion. And to me the shark has a smooth and straight body which he cannot use to attack or grab at his opponent except to attack with his mouth. And the Octopus is soft and boneless but with 8 tentacles with suckers that can attack and hold on to objects easily during an attack. Thats the reason why the Octopus can eat a Shark.
well, different viewpoint here… to me the octopus looked sinister and scary and the shark looked kinda cute….
It is quite amazing that something that seems to be so soft on the outside could actually very cruel on the inside. Same goes for a lot of people in life. Some people look like really nice people but they are actually going to go and kill you. That is how children are tricked by pedophiles. Thus, some people are like the shark, they look like they are threatening but they are actually really gentle and they get taken advantage of.
I would like to know your eminence if I may speak to you?
