An Exquisite Pictorial Biography of Buddha Shakyamuni
I came across this very beautiful and exquisite pictorial biography of Buddha Shakyamuni in a book produced and printed by the Dhammikarama Burmese Buddhist Temple in Penang. These very beautiful pictures depicting the life of the Buddha were reproduced from the framed oil paintings along the archway of this temple.
If you are a Buddhist, it is important that we know the life of Buddha Shakyamuni. He is founder of the religion that we now practice. By knowing the life of the Buddha, we can draw inspiration from the deeds he performed during his lifetime that led him to achieve full enlightenment.
This book highlights pictures of major events that happened during Buddha Shakyamuni’s life time. His life are teachings by itself as it showed how the Buddha lived, what he taught and what he did to subdue the wicked and evil and bring them to the path of Dharma.
I would like to share these beautiful pictures and the accompanying stories with you. I hope that you too will be inspired by the life of the Buddha through these beautiful pictures…
Much prayers and care,
Tsem Rinpoche

Thank you Rinpoche.
This story is good for some people who do not know much about Buddhism… I am glad to have read it again…
My interaction with certain folks recently i found out that people have this perception “Buddha is only one”. For me that statement is correct to a certain extent. As the current Buddha is fourth in this Fortunate Aeon, at the same time since Buddha Shakyamuni came for the past 2600 years, surely some people must have gained enlightenment since then.
It does not make sense that after so may years there are no results. For me people like Lama Tsongkhapa and Gyalwa Ensapa, Milarepa are fully enlightened surely there are much much more we do not know of in the billions of universes.
Hi, is there anyway to order a copy of this wonderful book of Buddha’s life?
Buddha show us how to overcome obstacles, difficulties in daily life by taking rebirth into human again and spread the Dharma. Reading the story of Buddha, reminded and encouraging me to be in Dharma. Not only just to know Dharma, but merging Dharma into daily life. H.E Tsem Rinpoche always say, listen to Dharma, ask questions and pratices. I think by practicing this way, i will not be the leaking pot…
