A Haunting Beauty
I love this Vajrayogini statue the most out of the many ancient statues featured in the Vajrayogini book. Just look at her face! Her three beautiful eyes seemed to be staring back from a different time and place. Every time I see her face, I always get a little excited and a little mesmerised.
Very apt descriptions. I love this.

David Lai posted this up on his blog and facebook. It is a picture extracted from his book that he wrote on Vajra Yogini.
What a stunning book with great pictures.
This picture is of an old and ancient Vajra Yogini statue in a wonderful Nepalese Temple in Kathmandu.
David has many pictures like this in his stunning book on Vajra Yogini.

The word haunting may give you the creeps if spoken in the mundane world. But in Dharma it need not be. To me in this case is mystic and interesting where Vajrayogini is concerned. There are many implements she is holding and you may want to know the symbolic meaning of it. Also she is Kechara House deity. From the picture I seem to like the shape of her eyes which look very alive. She is like a mother to all of us in Kechara House looking at us sternly and say we have to practice very hard if we want to go to her Paradise. That is why Rinpoche is preparing us with prelimaries before the Vajrayogini Initiation.
