Photos On The Go

May 13, 2010 | Views: 11,877

We have started a PHOTOS ON THE GO section on the blog home page. When I am out, I can send pics to share with my blog friends. Sometimes the picture is too ‘small’ for a blog post and too ‘big’ not to share. So this is a good alternative.

The hardworking crew at E-division has worked this out for me. I have so many photos to share with all of you. I can upload pictures taken by my phone here directly. How neat is that? I thought that is possible and Kechara E-division is making it possible. You can just click on the picture and see the bigger version..neat.

    Dear Rinpoche,

Thank you for inspiring and guiding us in this great Lamrim Retreat.Your presence and Dharma teachings at the start of the retreat and again on Wednesday night gave great impetus for us to give of our best to it.

The Lamrim retreat committee, headed by Mr Ngeow, did a fantastic job. Kind Doreen provided sets of copies of Lamrim (according to Days)in enlarged print.I had to recite the Lamrim, using them, owing to my weak and failing eyesight.

The 24 hour Recitation moved me beyond words. If ever there was a chance for anyone to use a short span of twenty-four hours to realize(for an instant) the maximum use of their optimum human rebirth, this was it: to recite the sacred Lamrim, Buddha’s 84000 teachings condensed in a book and presented as the graduated stages of the Path to complete Peace and Happiness, Total Freedom from Suffering, Full Enlightenment.

I’ve been reading the stories of the Mahasiddhas here: http://blog.tsemtulku.com/tsem-tulku-rinpoche/buddhas-dharma/vajradhara-and-84-mahasiddhas.html. This shows that with proper Guru Devotion and consistency in our spiritual practise, we will reach high attainments in our spiritual practise. One important thing is that their stories give us hope and made us realised that ordinary clowns like us can go somewhere, we do not need super power or force from outside. It is all up to us and how well we carry out the instructions given by our Guru.

We are all here to learn from each other, share and lend support to each other from all around the world on our spiritual paths. Whatever we write, we will write with a good motivation, open mind and a will to learn more when proper logic is presented. We are not here to demand or judge but simply to share and learn. I welcome everyone to this blog chat and do share. I am happy to see everyone here. I welcome everyone. Tsem Rinpoche

Just got back from kechara Forest Retreat. Having some sour tofu soup now. I love the sour taste. And the soup is very clear and light. Had gone to Chamang Waterfall and river area (10 mins drive from KFR) and walked around. Did puja there. I really enjoyed the sunshine, clear air, non-ending emerald trees, the river and the fallen leaves. Shin, Joy, Seng Piow, Andrew, Jean Mei, Adrian, Phoebe and Sarah were with me and they helped me a lot for preparations and had a mini picnic. I didn’t plan this. I went to that area as I always did to feed stray dogs and didn’t find dogs and ended up walking into the green forest along the river. So they ran back to KFR to get incense, sandwiches, my prayer books, etc and ran back. Fast…I enjoyed the forest so much. Wish I can be there always alone with my meditations. Thanks everyone for your help and making it a spiritually nature-filled day. I want to take another group there with me and set up tents next time. Fun!!Tsem Rinpoche

Vajrasattva and prostration practice is very important and when done well, it is effective in purifying our negative karma. If our negative karma is purified, then many of our wishes will arise spontaneously with much less obstacles. We will feel harmony, peace and happiness within our minds. – Click here to knows more > http://blog.tsemtulku.com/tsem-tulku-rinpoche/buddhas-dharma/vajrasattva-and-prostrations-transcript.html

The Unknown

The Known and unknown are both feared,
Known is being comfortable and stagnant,
The unknown may be growth and opportunities,
One shall never know if one fears the unknown more than the known.
Who says the unknown would be worse than the known?
But then again, the unknown is sometimes worse than the known. In the end nothing is known unless we endeavour,
So go pursue all the way with the unknown,
because all unknown with familiarity becomes the known.

Tsongkapa relied on Manjushri to gain his attainments. His main focus was Manjushri as the blessings of Manjushri are potent. Tsongkapa gained tremendous advancements in meditation, composition, learning, teaching and exposition due to the blessings of Manjushri. We should also rely on Manjushri daily. Recently the bodily remains of a yogic practitioner or naldjorpa was found in a rock cave in Eastern Tibet. Clad in white cotton with some little yellow woolen sheet hiis body position remained in the position of a practitioner with a straight back and sitting with crossed legs, one hand in meditation position and the other in the earth touching mudra as to vitness the truth to overcome the ordinary rules of physical laws. Although this practitioner did not realize the rainbow body ('ja' lus) or something similar such remains are regarded to be a sign of a highly accomplished practitioner of both the tantric path of transformation and the Dzogchen path of self-liberation. Dear all, This is Paris interviewing my sister Lidshma. She mentions when I was very young the monks would have me sit with them to do the Buddhist services which was highly irregular in New Jersey. They didn't have lay people even children sit with them to do the services. So she mentions this was very unusual in a good way. My sister Lidshma here mentions my mother (Dana) would always catch me in the night in my room in the dark sitting on my bed meditating and doing mantras. I did that always and had to avoid being caught by my mother. I did it nightly. So I did it secretly and without her catching me. If she did catch me, then there would be big drama and problems depending on the mood my mom was in. My practicing dharma/meditating/praying/mantras was not allowed at all by my parents. They were fiercely against it always. My sister remembers this here. My sister lives in Texas, USA. And our bio group had gone to USA to interview my family for my bio book. This is a snippet.
