A method to release anger
Dear friends, I came across this Introduced by Lindsay Wagner, this method can help release strong negative emotions such as anger, jealousy, revenge, unwanted responses and stress. Energy psychology uses acupuncture tapping to release the negative emotions via the body directly, bypassing the mind so that the emotions need not be processed mentally. This is a very effective and direct way of releasing negative emotions that you may find difficult to let go.
1) Bring your attention to the negative emotion that you wish to let go.
2) Circle the fleshy part of your left breast with your fingers. Rub it up and out towards your shoulders and away from the sternum.
3) Circulate at that area for a minute. Then recite, “Even though I have this feeling of revenge I deeply, completely and profoundly accept myself” three times.
4) Tap the following points in the following order as listed below. You can also use the following diagram to help further clarify the exact location.
1. Side of Hand point is below the knuckle of pinky finger and above the wrist bone.
2. Top of Head point, is in the center of top of the head or soft spot.
3. Eye Brow points, at the beginning of the eyebrow, nearest the center of the face.
4. Side of Eye points, on the bone at the end of the eyebrows.
5. Under Eye points, on the bone under the eye even with the pupils.
6. Under Nose point, mid-way between the bottom of the nose and the top of the lip.
7. Chin point, in the indentation mid-way between the bottom of the lower lip and the chin, not directly on the chin.
8. Collar Bone points, are located about one inch down and one inch over from the collarbone cup.
9. Under the Arm point, about 4 inches below the armpit.
10. Ribcage point, at base of breast directly down from the nipple.
11. Wrist point, located on the inside of each wrist.
5)

6) Stop tapping for a minute and take a deep breath.
7) Observe if the feeling has lessened or if it has changed to another type of feeling and repeat step 1 until it is gone.

Negative emotions can be very dangerous. If we are not able to control or release it, and let the negative emotions to accumulate, one day we might end up doing something that we regret.
This might be a temporary release, but the ultimate solution is self transform.
This is an alternative method to release one’s anger. But I do agree with what Yee Mun said, yes this are some tricks not to blow up but the best is mind transformation. If we are transformed no matter what happens we would not even build up the anger that requires release.
Not everytime we have the time to release our pent up anger, sometimes anger strikes very quickly and we do not have the time to respond in that situation we wont be doing this method we will just react. Hence transforming the mind is the best.
Experienced a sudden great anger yesterday that i realized it was the feeling that have been pilling up for days. Till now, it is only released. But does the anger released truly or really vanished. Why on the spot i do not burst up sometimes? All i can think of is the Protector or Yidam that i always chant have influences me.
I experienced how the anger pile up. First from a recent incident, slowly it change to another and add up another and another, the negative mind non-stopped is like trying to push which is your button to burst!
I am terrified to see during anger, how many negative issues that is unsolved pilling up. Why the issues not solved because i do not understand what causes the person to react this ways, thus the “logic” of the action does not match my “logic” and i get angry. Sound stupid ya, i got angry because the person’s actions.
Thus, i asked many friends, how you release your anger? Anger is like an atomic bomb, when its release, it burned up whatever good deeds that you have done. A good friend can become enemy, a good couples can become stranger. A healthy person can develop diseases e.g: stroke, heart attack etc. In Buddhism, if i am not wrong. The person whom last breath is angry thought, it might cause the person go to lower realm immediately. Thus, i am afraid this anger. Hope i can find a way to stop whenever anger come.
Anger management will be one of the biggest issue for the next generation. Temporary release using acumpunture pressure points may help, but like many have said here, the best is still transforming our minds by understanding how this surge of angry energy arises, understanding that it is based on 1) circumstances and 2) our expectation and others do not match, then we would be able to accept the situation without causing much tsunami in our emotions.
Accepting the reality and learn to say, “it’s ok, it is not the end of the world yet” will also help to release some of these negative energy.
Another way is to do Guru Yoga and Migtzema mantra if you have an anger issue, it helps to calm our mind and create much peace and harmony in our family and work place.
An interesting article, didn’t know that one could bypass the negative emotions from the mind so that it does not mentally need to be processed. Also, I think the tapping at the various points relaxes one, and with that, the negative emotions go too.
I read a nice quote on Anger just now, and would like to share it. Here it is:
“When you give in to aversion and anger, it’s as though, having decided to kill someone by throwing him into a river, you wrap your arms around his neck, jump into the water with him, and you both drown. In destroying your enemy, you destroy yourself as well. ” ~ Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche.
How profound the quote is. I think what it means is that fighting anger with anger does you no good, because eventually, what you do, how you react comes back to you. Fighting anger with anger will only lead to your own downfall.
