A letter from His Majesty the King of Thailand to KMP

Royal king of thailand

His Royal Majesty Bhumibol Adulyadej

King_thailand_400
King & Queen & Royal Family of Thailand

Our KMP or Kechara Media & Publications dept have been working so hard to produce high quality books. Our Kechara House has twelve depts of which all books, videos, literature are produced from the very dedicated team at KMP…I am indeed very proud of them.

We presented some of our books to His Royal Majesty Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand and His Majesty’s private office wrote our CEO of KMP an acknowledgment letter!!! Fantastic.

I personally have admired His Royal Majesty very much. His dedication, commitment, hard work and love of his people can be felt very clearly when we visit the Kingdom of Thailand. Therefore it is a great honour beyond words to receive His Majesty’s acknowledgment.

I and all of us sincerely thank His Majesty and wish him very very very long life and health.

Humbly,

Tsem Rinpoche

Buddhist Monk

I love the part – ‘I wish to convey the Royal thanks”. It is very regal thank you all right. How wonderful for KMP!

HRM is the world’s longest reigning Buddhist monarch and loved by not only his subjects but by others far and wide.
KMP books have found their way into the heartland of the Buddhist community through HRM.

  4. JP on Apr 8, 2010 at 11:43 am

Wow! I sincerely hope that HRM will read the books and request to meet Rinpoche as a result. It’ll be a historical moment!!!

  5. bybeat on Apr 8, 2010 at 6:14 pm

Congratulation for your Kechara Media & Publications work. I will hope His Majesty the King of Thailand can help the Thailand people in there turbulent times – reading today in press: “Protests Force State Of Emergency In Bangkok”. Blessing for him and the people.

  6. Li Kim on Apr 10, 2010 at 2:33 am

When I received the letter from His Majesty and subsequently from the Princess, I could not believe my eyes! I was stunned and quiet (for ppl who know me it takes A LOT to keep me quiet). These letters were MORE than A LOT. It was a true honor I have never ever had before. See!!! This proves doing Dharma work is very prestigious and glamorous!!!
On a deeper note, I must THANK Rinpoche for this. Rinpoche has been very kind when he writes this blog. If not for Rinpoche and his brilliant idea on this marketing and promotional effort, the books would not have reached this distinguished royal family. From all of us at KMP, THANK YOU Rinpoche! If not for your instigation to do this it would not have happened. Also, I want to thank the wonderful people in the Promo Group who was set up to execute this book marketing program. The letters are addressed to ALL of us!

  7. Peter on Jul 7, 2010 at 4:11 pm

    Terima Kasih Rinpoche!
Yes I would echo Li Kim’s rejoicing and surprise that HRM King Bhumipol, would send an acknowledgement from the Office of HRM is such an accomplishment for the Dharma thanks to the auspices of Rinpoche and Kechara!
Kudos to the KMP team who have worked hard in making all these a possibility and is proof that Dharma is alive and thriving!

The King of Thailand, His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, ascended the throne in 1946. He is now the longest reigning monarch in the world. He is well loved and respected by his people. He has become more and more loved and respected by his subjects every year. He is also respected in all parts of the world.
Buddhism is the national religion of Thailand and His Majesty is a devoted Buddhist. He entered novice monk at wat Bovomnives on 22nd October 1956. The constitution of Thailand is very special, just and fair. His Majesty needs to be the upholder of all religions besides Buddhism. He has to give equal attention, protection and attend to any problems faced by other religious communities in Thailand.

  9. Shirley Tan on Jul 8, 2010 at 8:39 pm

The King of Thai is the embodiment of the a true monarch who works for the benefit of his people, just like the Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn of Thailand, the King’s second daughter. They have crafted their lives to serve the greater whole, rather than serve themselves.
Rinpoche had actually posted another post at http://blog.tsemtulku.com/tsem-tulku-rinpoche/2010/03/thai-king-such-a-great-monarch.html?cid=6a01310f7b9b6a970c01348361abfd970c#comment-6a01310f7b9b6a970c01348361abfd970c on the King of Thailand and shared many pictures of the King in there. It was very humbling and touching to see even the King would kneel before the monks and sangha. Even the King is below the Sangha. That sends a very powerful message to all his subjects and he sets by example.
KMP is indeed going on the right track by sending their wonderful books out to the world. It is so kind of the King to take the time and write a THANK YOU letter to acknowledge receipt of the books. Well done, KMP! May all your books continue to touch many lives.

Just got back from kechara Forest Retreat. Having some sour tofu soup now. I love the sour taste. And the soup is very clear and light. Had gone to Chamang Waterfall and river area (10 mins drive from KFR) and walked around. Did puja there. I really enjoyed the sunshine, clear air, non-ending emerald trees, the river and the fallen leaves. Shin, Joy, Seng Piow, Andrew, Jean Mei, Adrian, Phoebe and Sarah were with me and they helped me a lot for preparations and had a mini picnic. I didn’t plan this. I went to that area as I always did to feed stray dogs and didn’t find dogs and ended up walking into the green forest along the river. So they ran back to KFR to get incense, sandwiches, my prayer books, etc and ran back. Fast…I enjoyed the forest so much. Wish I can be there always alone with my meditations. Thanks everyone for your help and making it a spiritually nature-filled day. I want to take another group there with me and set up tents next time. Fun!!Tsem Rinpoche

Vajrasattva and prostration practice is very important and when done well, it is effective in purifying our negative karma. If our negative karma is purified, then many of our wishes will arise spontaneously with much less obstacles. We will feel harmony, peace and happiness within our minds. – Click here to knows more > http://blog.tsemtulku.com/tsem-tulku-rinpoche/buddhas-dharma/vajrasattva-and-prostrations-transcript.html

The Unknown

The Known and unknown are both feared,
Known is being comfortable and stagnant,
The unknown may be growth and opportunities,
One shall never know if one fears the unknown more than the known.
Who says the unknown would be worse than the known?
But then again, the unknown is sometimes worse than the known. In the end nothing is known unless we endeavour,
So go pursue all the way with the unknown,
because all unknown with familiarity becomes the known.

Tsongkapa relied on Manjushri to gain his attainments. His main focus was Manjushri as the blessings of Manjushri are potent. Tsongkapa gained tremendous advancements in meditation, composition, learning, teaching and exposition due to the blessings of Manjushri. We should also rely on Manjushri daily. Keep His practice close to us and never be a day without Manjushri. Tsem Rinpoche

Recently the bodily remains of a yogic practitioner or naldjorpa was found in a rock cave in Eastern Tibet. Clad in white cotton with some little yellow woolen sheet hiis body position remained in the position of a practitioner with a straight back and sitting with crossed legs, one hand in meditation position and the other in the earth touching mudra as to vitness the truth to overcome the ordinary rules of physical laws. Although this practitioner did not realize the rainbow body ('ja' lus) or something similar such remains are regarded to be a sign of a highly accomplished practitioner of both the tantric path of transformation and the Dzogchen path of self-liberation. Kyabje Chatral Rinpoche: "I am just an ordinary sentient being and there is nothing special about me. I just follow the teachings of Lord Buddha. Without any cheating on my part, I stand firmly on the ground in practicing the Dharma and in helping all sentient beings. I wish that all sentient beings could let go of the acts of self-deception and self-aggrandizement, so that they can really practice the Dharma in order to liberate themselves from cyclic existence and to help other sentient beings. Otherwise, it will be too late when they are feeling remorseful!"

He is alert, active, and has a good appetite. I like him very much and will make sure he is safe, happy and has a good life. I name him Lucky. Lucky will always be safe now. Tsem Rinpoche

Dear all, This is Paris interviewing my sister Lidshma. She mentions when I was very young the monks would have me sit with them to do the Buddhist services which was highly irregular in New Jersey. They didn't have lay people even children sit with them to do the services. So she mentions this was very unusual in a good way. My sister Lidshma here mentions my mother (Dana) would always catch me in the night in my room in the dark sitting on my bed meditating and doing mantras. I did that always and had to avoid being caught by my mother. I did it nightly. So I did it secretly and without her catching me. If she did catch me, then there would be big drama and problems depending on the mood my mom was in. My practicing dharma/meditating/praying/mantras was not allowed at all by my parents. They were fiercely against it always. My sister remembers this here. My sister lives in Texas, USA. And our bio group had gone to USA to interview my family for my bio book. This is a snippet. Aiyo so cute. I am in KD now going through some design work with Karen and Mrs.Chua is teaching Pat, Kumar, Yen Ping, Louise and Jeff English.

May they be able to learn up fast and assist Rinpoche's work!

Love,

I didnt ask andrew to work with workers, just oversee. But he doing the work himself for days now. Am filling up the pool at haven and andrew's in the pool working hard w the workers. I like when ppl swallow their ego n just do anything necessary to get the job done. Tr
