Datuk May Phng President of Kechara House holding up the newly arrived book.

In 2008 I took a group of over 60 people to the holy places of Vajra Yogini and Buddhism in Nepal. I went to each place with the group and gave them explanations.

We also went to the Holy Vajra Yogini Pilgrimage sites to do special aspirational prayers. There are four very holy and sacred Vajra Yogini chapels. Each place we did special prayers, generated superior aspirations and did many offerings. David Lai & Paul were some of the people to join and he wrote notes and memorized what I explained on that trip and it became a book. Paul is from Kechara Discovery : http://kechara.com/discovery/

Originally Paul of Kechara Discovery was just compiling pictures of this trip and showed it to me and I grabbed and said it must be a book…Paul was happy and agreed…hence David, Paul, KMP, KD got this wonderful book out! Great work.

This book is very well written I must say and it has 1st time COLOR photographs of the various Vajra Yoginis in the  chapels that were NEVER PHOTOGRAPHED BEFORE. I personally LOVE THE PHOTOGRAPHS OF THIS BUDDHA VAJRAYOGINI…so incredible blessed. So you will see very rare pictures of old and very sacred Vajra Yogini images. First time pictures ever to be published. Pictures are stunning…. Vajra Yogini pictures in this book should make their way to your shrines…they exude powerful energy even from the photos you can feel it.. Images of Vajra Yogini in these photos that have been worshipped by the Nepalese for hundreds of years. The book talks about the Vajra Yogini tantra, benefits, Her chapels, and many other things related to Her.

This book came out in English already and TODAY it came out in Chinese. It was the ‘handywork’ of two Kechara Depts combined which are Kechara Discovery and Kechara Media & Publications. Good job!!!!

I was so excited about this book, I had to blog it today!!!

GetAttachment9The above is in Chinese and below is in English..everything is the same except for language..

English vy bk

I am very excited about this book because it can ‘educate’ many on the mysteries of this Sacred Buddha Vajra Yogini who is the most appropriate yidam for this time, place and affinity.

Do read it and fall in love with Her.

Tsem Rinpoche

P.S. In case your wondering who David of KMP and Paul of Kechara Discovery are, get ready to scroll down…heheheh

Spooky(David on the left and Paul right)

I warned you that the group in KMP and in Kechara in general are ‘different’, fun, off the wall, ‘alternative’, spooky, crazy, wild, super non-conventional and basically really good sports.

Yes, these two fellows are my students….I don’t know what it says for me, but you know what, I love them….and they are going to ’love’ me for putting in this picture of them taken around two years back in Kechara Paradise….hehehehehehehehehe..Who says, Dharma cannot be fun?????

Excellent for our chinese friends! They too can get Vajrayogini Blessings, and maybe just maybe they can visit the places that Rinpoche took us to visit on Pilgrimage 2008.
It was a blessed pilgrimage can’t wait to go back there in future.
Thank you Paul, Thank you David, and Thank you Rinpoche!

  3. Shin Tan on Mar 25, 2010 at 11:37 pm

I think this is one of the best “guide book” about Vajrayogini holy places with simple & easy to understand descriptions! And I love the nice photos !!!
Now it’s available in Chinese, 真的太棒了!

  4. Joy Kam on Mar 25, 2010 at 11:37 pm

Yay! Now our Chinese community can be blessed by Vajrayogini’s sacred images and stories too! Thank you Paul and David for producing this one of a kind book. It is the only book in the world that has these sacred holy images of Vajrayogini in Nepal as they are private chapels of families that have been passed down from generation to generation.
How exciting and blessed we are!

  5. seonghuat on Mar 25, 2010 at 11:39 pm

Great team work and collaboration by Kechara Discovery and Kechara Media & Publications to benefit the Chinese speaking community.

  6. Elena on Mar 25, 2010 at 11:44 pm

I was so excited to see this earlier! The English version is already so beautiful, and now our Chinese friends won’t be left out. It’s very inspiring that two strange-looking people can produce such an amazing book…they look really pleased with themselves! Hehe

  7. Irene cheok on Mar 25, 2010 at 11:44 pm

So wonderful! Now Vajrayogini and her chapels in Nepal get to be known around the world through this book in English and Chinese language. This is first time ever published and distributed to the world. This is the era of tantra, an era of Vajrayogini. A must have BOOK.

  8. Datuk May Phng on Mar 25, 2010 at 11:53 pm

I was with the pilgrimage to Nepal and I was so happy to have physically touched this wonderful book, I could recall how I made a vow to be of assistance to H.E. Tsem Tulku Rinpoche to work for the Dharma. And here I am proudly as the President of Kechara House. Great job, Paul, David and KMP, bless you for making this wonderful photos available to both our Chinese and English friends.

  9. John on Mar 25, 2010 at 11:54 pm

What strange looking people…they really work for Rinpoche? Dharma really accepts anyone and everyone, doesn’t it hehe talk about mind training
Congratulations to you two, and of course Rinpoche for the book. I do not read Chinese but I’m sure it will benefit, by the power of Vajrayogini.

  10. Lily Tan on Mar 25, 2010 at 11:56 pm

This book is one of its kind!. Kudos to David, Paul & everyone who are involved in publishing this sacred book to benefit us. Thank you for helping me to re-live the wonderful memories of the pilgrimage to the various holy sites of Holy Vajrayogini. Words cannot describe the intense emotions that were felt at these wonderful chapels! Thank you Rinpoche for making this possible!

  11. BK on Mar 25, 2010 at 11:57 pm

The book is beautiful – stunning photography, and captivating tales from David Lai’s incredible memory. His narration and commentary is almost verbatim of what was taught by Tsem Rinpoche in Nepal. I should know, I was there!
Highly recommended as a good read or just to enjoy the images within. And now that there’s a Chinese version, well, that’s just SUPER!
Kudos to all who had a part to play in the making of this book.
ps: excellent photo of david and paul :)

  12. Irene Lim on Mar 25, 2010 at 11:57 pm

Oh my god! Paul and David so hilarious! Very sporting students of Rinpoche. Rinpoche empowered their transformation. Before Paul very square but he has changed.

  13. Li Kim on Mar 25, 2010 at 11:59 pm

I could not agree more that KMP is full of uniquely different, crazy, and definitely way way off the wall. AND YES VERY LOUD BUNCH!!!
The publication of both Vajrayogini coffee table books in English and Chinese was indeed a learning experience for all of us from the writers to editors to production team. Paul (the client) in this instance was SOOOO fussy and picky about the quality it drove me up the wall down again and up up to the roof! He just would not compromise on anything from the paper quality, font type, pictures color separation, layout, translation, you name it he would look into EVERY detail. And after all that he would say to me, “Thank you ah, and now you make sure the cost doesn’t go up OK…” And he grins at me! As much as I wanted to throw myself out the window (which would do me no good since we are only one floor off the ground) I love Paul! If not for his “annoying” ways, we (KMP & KD) would not have these beautifully exquisite books for everyone to enjoy and benefit from. We would not have this opportunity to present the amazing Vajrayogini to all of you!
Go get one, two, hey go get 10 and gift them to your friends! If there’s gonna be one special meaningful gift for 2010 to a friend, make it this book!
We at KMP are very grateful for the trust and faith Rinpoche has put in us to publish Rinpoche’s teachings to touch and change lives. THANK YOU RINPOCHE FROM THE DEPTH OF OUR HEARTS!
KMP has lots more coming up in 2010. Keep a look out for us!

  14. Renee on Mar 26, 2010 at 12:02 am

And, erm, such “interesting” and HAPPY students who got this book out. Bravo David & Paul!

    OMG!
Finally there’s a book on holy mother Vajrayogini in Chinese. The spread of the holy Tantra in the holy Lineage of Lama Je Tsongkhapa will be a widespread like wild fire under Rinpoche’s guidance.
    Well done Paul,David, KD, KMP!!!

    Congratulations Paul, David & KMP!
This Chinese Vajrayogini book is really great and ‘ONE OF ITS KIND’! You guys and gals has given the world an opportunity to meet and be blessed by holy Vajrayogini and ‘visit’ her holy chapels no matter where they are!
Looking through the book really brings back fond memories of our pilgrimage to Kathmandu and visiting all these holy places.
This is really a book not to be missed and it has lots of great beautiful picture in it!
    Congrats team!!!!!

Congratulations David, Paul & KMP — this Chinese version of Vajrayogini coffee-table book will be a hit with the Chinese speaking crowd! Now our chinese-speaking friends will not be left out. What a great book! Must not be missed.
    Good teamwork.

  19. Paris on Mar 26, 2010 at 1:23 am

super absolutely sexy, no matter how many times I look at this book (and you can ask Paul, I’ve looked at it rather a lot of times HAHA!)
I was at the office today when the book arrived. I was in the middle of editing and about to tear my hair out and tear the walls down (it’s a long story…) but when i saw the book, my whole heart lifted and I screeched so loud the other end of the office could hear me. SO BEAUTIFUL.
And I still can’t get over the beauty and rarity of the photos inside that book. From the moment Paul snapped those pictures, to the writing, to the design (gaaah), to the proofreading, to the selection of paper… it was a magical Vajrayogini retreat of sorts. And the publication of the book is only the beginning of the next chapter. Are YOU going to join the journey with us?

  20. Su Ming on Mar 26, 2010 at 1:45 am

    Congratulation KMP!!!
Well done once again. It’s about time a book like this came out – a concise and succinct introduction to Vajrayogini. Not only that, it is a great visual guide to the holy sites of Nepal. The English version has benefited so many of us and I’m sure this will benefit the chinese-speaking readers. I can’t wait for it to be available in Nepal itself!!!

  21. David Lai on Mar 26, 2010 at 1:46 am

Yeah! I love the Chinese Vajrayogini book! I think the credit for the Chinese version should go to Paul Yap and Dr Lanse. They worked very hard on the translation and kept improving upon the language. Paul ensured that the translation was up to a certain standard and he got it. Hence, what you guys see is the result of lots of effort on Paul’s part.

  22. Kating Tulku on Mar 26, 2010 at 2:27 am

It’s wonderful to have Vajrayogini book in Chinese in a place like Malaysia where most of the people know chinese language. This book is very beneficial to all specially new people who start practising Dharma. Also to the people nearby country like China, Singapore.
I pray Tsem Rinpoche long life and teach and show more and more ahead. Without Rinpoche it is not possible. Rinpoche always think to help others in whatever Rinpoche do.
Prayers and success to Kechara Buddhist Association Malaysia and to Kechara World Peace Centre.

Wow wow wow!Now we have Vajrayogini Coffee Table Book in Chinese, it will certainly benefit the Chinese Speaking target in Malaysia and around the world.
Credits should be given to Paul Yap, Dr Lanse, Yek Yee and Siong Woan who have put in so much heart and soul in the translation to get the book to this high standard. Also not forgetting the KMP crew in the production and administration department to get it out on time.Well done KMP, another STAR publication from KMP!!!!!
This book certainly brings back memories of our Pilgrimage to the Various Holy Sites of Holy Vajrayogini, Tara etc in Kathmandhu.
In my opinion, all the Chinese Speaking crowd should have one copy of this Amazing Chinese Vajrayogini Coffee Table Book on their respective coffee table and also give as gifts to their realtives and friends. What a high quality GIFT !

This is the best book on Vajratogini Holy Pilgrimage sites in Nepal. Excellent book to read before embarking on pilgrimage to these places to make your trip more meaningful and educational. 29. SK Yap on Jul 3, 2010 at 9:05 pm

I have to thank Dr Lanse of KMP for her patience and great effort while translating and editing the Chinese version of Vajrayogini book together with me. Both of us spent quite a lot of time working together, with the wish to maintain the accuracy of the original information translated from the English text written by David Lai, and at the same time wanting to insert our style of telling the story to the Chinese community. It is also told from the perspective of a pilgrim, consistently from the beginning till the end of the book, and that was the hard part of this project.
The good chemistry between Dr Lanse and I, however, has made this mission seemed a little easier. Both of us had endless cups of coffee, talking and debating back and forth, non-stop and cross checking every single word, and examine the meaning of each sentence. What we wish is that when this book reach out, it will touch someone’s heart and hope that they embark on their own spiritual journey happily.
Many thanks for the patience of Ms Phng Li Kim and the others in KMP. What they said about me is very true! I checked everything from the weight of the paper, type of paper, the printer’s colour proofs, the cost of the book, the layout and design….. Haha! I thoroughly enjoyed the whole process!
And I thank H.E. Tsem Tulku Rinpoche for giving me the chance of organizing the pilgrimage trip and producing this book.
I hope all of you enjoy this book that is now available both in Chinese and English!
    Paul.

  30. Peter on Jul 7, 2010 at 11:55 pm

    Terima Kasih Rinpoche!
It is a great joy to think that we care for our fellow Mandarin proficient members and also the greater crowd out there and KMP has always been adventurous thus far in coming out with wonderful books and box sets to continue the Dharma crusade for Rinpoche and Kechara.
This coffee table book will help set forth what it takes to introduce and then following Rinpoche’s instructions on those preparations, gearing the entire Kechara family, especially the Mandarin speaking ones for the culmination towards Vajrayogini practice and also those interested in a pilgrimage to make that spiritual connection with Her in Nepal.
I can imagine David tying up his hair like that but Paul? I recall seeing Paul the first time and he was so proper and here is a visual proof of his wackiness LOL
    Dharma can be fun…LOL

  31. margaretlee on Jul 8, 2010 at 11:05 am

When I flipped through the pages in this book, it brings back a lot of fond and emotional memories of the Nepal pilgrimage we went with Rinpoche in 2008. The pictures are stunning. Thank you Paul and those camera men who had been going high and low to get the best angles possible. David has an excellent memory, he wrote a very clear and concise account of each holy places.
Going pilgrimage with Rinpoche is something you should not miss in your life. Every holy places we go, Rinpoche would give a backround of the holy site, its history, and many times, Rinpoche would infuse it with a Dharma talk that often brought tears to my eyes, not just once. The energy in these holy places are just awesome. Something that I could not describe in words, I just felt “Goosebumps” all the time. Before we leave , we would all make very strong aspiration prayers and dedications.
I must say, our Rinpoche is the best tour guide Lama I have ever met!!!
My heartfelt thanks to everyone who were invloved in the production of the Vajrayogini book, both English and Chinese. In my opinion, it is a MUST HAVE COFFEE TABLE BOOK. It is JUST UNIQUE!!!!!

Both Paul and David has been with Rinpoche for a very long time and the publication of this book serves as a testament to Rinpoche’s endless love and care for people like Paul and David who have gained so much in the many years with Rinpoche.
They have given their all for the Dharma after being inspired by Rinpoche’s never ending care to them. Their love and gratitude are engraved in the pages of this Vajrayogini book both in English and Chinese. It is Rinpoche’s passion to spread and teach the holy Vajrayogini tantra one day to all his students and we should aspire towards that.
Let’s get ourselves a VY book today to build a bridge closer to our mother yidam, dorje neljorma!

  33. pamela on Jul 9, 2010 at 2:39 pm

It is indeed a BEAUTIFUL book! So many interesting and lovely pictures that you cant get anywhere else. It is forbidden to take those pictures but out of love for all of us to understand and to be able to receive her practice in the future, Rinpoche personally asked for permission to capture these astounding, fabulous and fantastic pictures, not to forget that it comes with EXPLANATIONS! Yummy! Paul, David, Kechara Media & Publications and Kechara Discovery did a VERY GOOD job for both the English and Chinese version. I cant read Chinese therefore back then I missed out a lot Dharma books but in Kechara, it is a dream come true. A Rinpoche that speaks PERFECT English, DVD teachings in English and Dharma books in English! How nice!

  34. May Ong on Jul 9, 2010 at 5:45 pm

Tsem Rinpoche always reminded his students to practice Lama Tsongkhapa’s sadhana sincerely as Tsongkapa is one with Vajra Yogini and its easier and suitable for this degenerating age. Their pilgrimage trip to Nepal brought the students to all these sacred holy temples of people’s private homes to see Vajra Yogini statues and create a connection with her.
I have never come across Vajra Yogini until Kechara. She is naked, beautiful, invoking, sensuous and red. It is said her higher practice can lead us to enlightenment within seven lifetimes. It is like a short cut to reach heaven or tushita land. The images of Vajra Yogini statues in this book are truly beautiful and its available in both English and Chinese language.

  35. Wasukamol on Jul 9, 2010 at 11:21 pm

Finally we have vajrayogini book which compiled beautiful photos of mother vajrayogini statues from the four secred temples in nepal with history of each vajrayogini from the last pilgrimage lead by H.E.Tsem Tulku Rinpoche.
Thank to paul, david and kmp who work hand in hand to have it available in english and chinese. If you wish to know more about vajrayogini you must get this book, the photos is stunning with a good and clear explanation about her.
As we are so attach and have a lot of desire, full of anger and ignorant so vajrayogini use all these to attract us to her. Let make a connection by reading and study about her and invite her image to home and make offering to her daily.

  36. Shirley Tan on Jul 10, 2010 at 12:45 am

This is really the first time I can say that a book is beautiful both, on the outside and inside, much like a person!
When I first laid eyes on Vajrayogini, I was petrified. I didn’t understand how a Buddha can look so ferocious, red and is naked with fangs! To me, she looked more like Vampirela, a famous comic of a female vampire.
However as I began to learn more about her and her iconography, I began to understand much more. Everything on her body means something very important and sacred. I can imagine why she used to be a secret practice. I think an average person would have a heart attack if you tell them she is a Buddha of the highest path. I am willing to bet no one would believe, as I did not. Rinpoche gave a concise and clear explanation on Vajrayogini and what her symbolism means in another blog post. Its VERY THOROUGH. So, please do read it after this http://bit.ly/9gUKrG
If I had not gone beyond my own misunderstanding what a Buddha should look like, and what a Buddha should not look like, then I would have missed out on the greatest treasure of my life: the Vajrayogini Practice!
We should not close our minds to anything that we do not understand or know fully about. Because that will not help us at all. Instead, we will be left to rot in our own misconceptions and be left behind. So, do yourself a favour and find out more. Arm ourselves with real, valuable knowledge. Only then we will grow and be enriched from within.
So, start with this gorgeous coffee table – all the images in there have been carefully selected. A lot of trouble and effort have gone into just procuring the pictures alone because SHE is that precious and secret.
Rinpoche and Kechara must really care about everyone to work this hard in bringing Vajrayogini out into the open for people to create the connection with her. Yes, she is truly special!

  37. Anila on Sep 1, 2010 at 5:57 pm

In the year 2008 Rinpoche took a group of over 60 students and friends to Nepal to visit holy places. They visited Vajra Yogini temples. Paul took a lot of pictures and clips of Vajrayogini. The thought of Vajrayogini book in Chinese has not occurred to Paul’s mind. Until one day when Paul showed the pictures to Rinpoche and he suggested that Paul should compile a Vajrayogini book and translate it into Chinese. It was a very good idea for Rinpoche to suggest that. It would be very helpful for the Chinese medium people to know about Vajra Yogini.

It is imperative that many Dharma materials are translated into Chinese. If they are, more than 1 billion people in the world will be able to benefit from it. That is, more than 1 billion precious human lives have a chance of being saved from unending samsara, and have a little bit of enlightenment planted in their mindstream. That is the same reason why Kechara will soon start to focus more on the chinese medium…

I will say China doesn’t deserve anything untill they allow Tibet to be free. I am sure most people don’t realize how dangerouse China really is right now. I am sorry people you don’t give a killing country any very spiritual that thewy can abuse.

For Ashlee – Dear Ashlee, I am happy to hear about your wish to help the animals. Each day of us not eating meat for the duration of our lifetime will accumulate into hundreds if not thousands of lives saved. I do need a lot of help with KAS and thank you very much for helping. When i first came to kechara, Alex was the first few people who shared his knowledge with me and I appreciate you both very much. With the blessings of Rinpoche, let us continue our journey together to manifest a safe haven for the animals as well as play an influential role to instill a caring nature in our community.

Every time, every day, one advice get’s done, you become closer to enlightenment and it becomes great purification for many lifetimes, those heavy negative karma get purified. Inconceivable merits get collected.” Lama Zopa Rinpoche

Whenever we let anger control our actions, it’s a clear indication selfish mind is predominant.~Tsem Rinpoche Being selfish is the core of many of our emotional upheavals and unhappiness.~Tsem Rinpoche Please stop being held back by anger & fear, step into the light. Being one of the closer student around Tsem Tulku Rinpoche, i do experience a lot of miracles, from someone who are very sick got heal or rain stop at certain moment that is urgent, some may think it’s all coincidence, let me tell you a real truth story that happened an hour ago. H.E. Tsem Tulku Rinpoche, like to rescue animals such as fishes, dogs, birds and etc. In our new Kechara Forest Retreat land, Rinpoche have kindly requested one of the liaison Beng Kooi to build a fish pond for all the fishes that Rinpoche rescued. The contractors that we got in to build the fish pond was slow and delay a few deadline that they gave. Just 2 days ago, Rinpoche instructed the fish pond project to be call off and all workers should leave the fish pond site as soon as possible. While we still thinking why Rinpoche cancel this project as it’s one of Rinpoche wishes to build a very comfortable place for fishes. Something happened an hour ago, there was a big bang came from the fish pond site, the whole artificial waterfall wall collapse without people go near it. This artificial waterfall wall was made out of cement, wire mesh, metal bar and etc, it weigh easily 200-300 Kgs. Luckily Rinpoche have giving us warming do not go near this waterfall 2 days ago, and should stop all construction wall, just imagine the workers are still working when the waterfall fall, some people might died or serious injury now. Due to humility Rinpoche will not say a word or show his premonitions power, this happened many many times. Rinpoche just save a few life without them knowing it. A lot of people will think why such horrible thing can happened in a holy land like Kechara Forest Retreat, a Buddhist site should always safe from all accident, but we believe if a place that will be use to benefiting thousands, a lot of obstacles will appear, I will take this artificial waterfall accident as part of clearing our negative karma, may all the negative karma from all of us be cleared. It’s glad that this happened before we move any fishes into this pond. In Tibetan culture, it’s an auspicious omen which represent bad obstacles have been cleared, and all our project will grow very smoothly later. It’s very important we follow our lama’s instruction/advice, even though sometime we might not understand it truly, because a real lama will never do anything which is not beneficial.

For tsemtulku – My dear Rinpoche,Alex & I met you 10 years ago. Because of your precious Dharma teachings & guidance, we are able to transform ourselves. Because of your Dharma vision, we now have 14 Departments for people with different skills & interest to be involve and for us to create merits in virtuous activities. I have been a part time vegetarian for sometime. Somehow i just wasn’t able to be a full vegetarian. After watching your teaching on “Integrity, Keeping promises & Vows”, it finally hit me. It is so true that having vows are not meant to “Imprison” us but really to help us transform positively to kick away our negative habits. I realize that from young, we have been condition to think that we have to eat meat and meat is delicious and it is part of life to consume meat in our daily diet. Hence we ignore the sufferings of others in order to indulge in our own taste buds. Lately, i have develop myself into feeding strays nearby my neighbourhood and I’m compelled to help strays via Kechara Animal Sanctuary. After deep contemplation, i realize that i cannot be wanting to help KAS and yet still eating meat. The equation is just so wrong. Now i can see clearly, it makes it so much easier to be a full vegetarian. Taking the vegetarian vow is not an imprisonment but it is another level of commitment to not be the source of pain to other sentient beings. It is a choice that we make to kick away our preconception of consuming meat for a balance diet.If one is against animal cruelty, then one should practice vegetarianism. Can’t be pitching for animal rights when you are still eating them. My daughter once said to me, “Mommy, animals are our friends so we shouldn’t be eating them”. I find that so profound coming from a kid. I’m very sure my family members will not be supportive of me going vegetarian but I pray that one day they will also come to the same realization as i have.
I humbly offer to Rinpoche my vegetarian vow and may it be dedicated to Rinpoche’s long life. May it also be dedicated to my family, loved ones and friends.
I will continue to get involve in KAS activities to assist Pastor Susan.
    Thank you my dear Lama.

Most amusing is this unparalleled ingenuity of the highly inspired dramatic slogan (self-explanatory) in the cover picture of http://www.facebook.com/MBFSG?fref=ts which HHDL and all Buddhas of the past, Buddhas of the present and Buddhas yet tocome, correspondingly are bowing their heads in deferential obeisance. Are we now transported to the Age of Somnambulism??? To earthlings, the most crucial life sustaining factor is NO AIR, NO LIFE, in so far as planet Earth and basic common sense are concerned.

The Unknown

The Known and unknown are both feared,
Known is being comfortable and stagnant,
The unknown may be growth and opportunities,
One shall never know if one fears the unknown more than the known.
Who says the unknown would be worse than the known?
But then again, the unknown is sometimes worse than the known. In the end nothing is known unless we endeavour,
So go pursue all the way with the unknown,
because all unknown with familiarity becomes the known.

Kyabje Chatral Rinpoche: "I am just an ordinary sentient being and there is nothing special about me. I just follow the teachings of Lord Buddha. Without any cheating on my part, I stand firmly on the ground in practicing the Dharma and in helping all sentient beings. I wish that all sentient beings could let go of the acts of self-deception and self-aggrandizement, so that they can really practice the Dharma in order to liberate themselves from cyclic existence and to help other sentient beings. Otherwise, it will be too late when they are feeling remorseful!"

We should have compassion for butchers. When we stop eating meat, we don’t make create the causes for them to slaughter animals contributing to their killing karma. We may say it’s ok to eat meat, but someone has to do the killing and collect the negative karma. Go vegetarian. It’s good for the butchers, the animals and ourselves.~Tsem Rinpoche

Kechara Liaisons are leaders who head and run our 13 depts within Kechara. Liaison Paul heads the arts, statue making, florist and Gompa depts. Yes he has huge portfolios. And he does a good job! Paul took a group of people to Kechara Forest Retreat today with Pastor Yek Yee to introduce to them about our projects. Paul tirelessly/kindly talks to many people this way. It's people like Paul who contributes to Kechara reaching out to many and benefitting them. When we do dharma and not see it as work, it's never a burden. We should see it as a way for ourselves to grow and creating the space for others to grow also. Kind people like Paul inspire me. Thank you Paul. Tsem Rinpoche

Dear all, This is Paris interviewing my sister Lidshma. She mentions when I was very young the monks would have me sit with them to do the Buddhist services which was highly irregular in New Jersey. They didn't have lay people even children sit with them to do the services. So she mentions this was very unusual in a good way. My sister Lidshma here mentions my mother (Dana) would always catch me in the night in my room in the dark sitting on my bed meditating and doing mantras. I did that always and had to avoid being caught by my mother. I did it nightly. So I did it secretly and without her catching me. If she did catch me, then there would be big drama and problems depending on the mood my mom was in. My practicing dharma/meditating/praying/mantras was not allowed at all by my parents. They were fiercely against it always. My sister remembers this here. My sister lives in Texas, USA. And our bio group had gone to USA to interview my family for my bio book. This is a snippet.
