Chariots of the Gods
Here’s another one of my favorite videos. Before the videos, it was the best selling book!
I read this book decades ago several times and it really ‘made sense’ to me. I loved the book and I loved this documentary based on the book. I remember being in my bedroom laying down on my bed decades back as a kid, head rested on a double pillow voraciously reading. Mom and dad were out for the afternoon and I would be on my own to read!! Pure heaven I use to think!!
I read about Buddhism, the Buddhist saints, their writings, mysteries, Bigfoot, UFOs… Lazy New Jersey summers of reading. Or in the winter when it’d snow and your trapped indoors, what’s better than reading. Especially if there was a snowstorm, and NO SCHOOL THAT DAY!!!!! Yes!!! No School! I would read, paint, chant, meditate, memorize mantras! Then read again!
I love the evidence, theories, photos, research that has been put into this incredible video. Although made decades ago, still very watchable I feel. I love many paintings ‘from the bible’ actually if you look at it carefully does really look like alien crafts. Totally believable. Watch carefully and several times to understand the enormity of the theories propounded.

Thank you Rinpoche. I am just beginning to watch!
Dearest Rinpoche
It was also my favourite book at 11 and it also made perfect sense to me. I was so excited that I shared it with like minded friends and we formed a club to discuss this including my teachers. I have not seen the movie and I thank you for sharing this and also for once against rekindling my Bodhimind.

Unfortunately in my neighborhood and with my friends I WAS THE ONLY ONE INTERESTED IN UFO’S. I was the only one interested in Bigfoot, and mysteries. I didn’t have anyone to talk to about it with. My step-parents didn’t have any clue what I was talking about. They were too busy living the American Dream (whatever that was).
I would have enjoyed so much to have a group of friends or a club to discuss and ‘investigate’ deeper into all these mysteries.
I had great neighborhood friends. I wonder what happened to them. We all lived on the same West 3rd Street in Howell, New Jersey.
I had Pat Miskovic (Yugoslavian boy), Dawn Giordano (Italian girl), Greta Meirerhaufer (German girl), Ray Polovino (Yugoslavian Boy), Marc Reed (who lived on Hulses Corner Rd), Mira Polovino and Pat’s sister, Slavica Miskovic. We had great times. Marc didn’t join us, but I would hang out with him at his house, yard and with his siblings or bike ride to Six Flags Great Adventure and Turkey Swamp. I like Marc alot…he is a great guy and very nice fellow.
I miss all the friends quite alot. I wish I was in closer contact with them and knew where they are. It’s like that movie ‘It’ where the kids are all grown up, but they have a pact and strong bond. They come back to their home town to meet up again to combat the supernatural clown. I like that movie because as kids they bonded and as adults, the bond was there.
I wonder where Pat, Ray, Slavica, Greta, Dawn and Mira are now. We had such INCREDIBLE FUN SUMMERS. We’d play all day and night. Pat’s parents were Yugoslavian immigrants that lived across the street from us. Pat’s parents were very generous and fed us kids daily and plenty of 7-up. Pat had a big yard and garden. Was fun
. Pat and I hung out almost everyday also.
I really do miss all of them and can’t ever forget them. I hope they are ok…

Rinpoche,
Thanks for posting these videos to share with us. I am currently loading/streaming them. I’m sure I will have many questions to ask after that as I always have questions in my head. I was also curious about these topics since young.

I love Chariots of the Gods too! I read the book many years ago because I found it in my dad’s collection of old books. Along with the believable theories propounded, there were many compelling photos of ancient sites from around the world to back up the hypotheses written within this book.
Thank you Rinpoche for sharing with us your childhood interest and your friends. I am thoroughly amazed that Rinpoche could actually remember their complicated European names. I share similar childhood experience of liking the paranormal but none of neighbourhood friends and classmates are into these things.
Perhaps, such inquisitive mind is typical of those interested in Buddhism as we are constantly curious about how our minds and our world exists and work. Heck! Buddha even did talked about other worlds and dimensions of existence. That’s what makes Buddhism so incredible and a fantastic spiritual tradition that transcends time, culture and even space! I know, how very Star Trek!
What peaked my curiosity is – why has Tsem Rinpoche been curious about UFOs, aliens and supernatural? Perhaps Rinpoche knows that beings are interconnected via minds and space. Aliens or UFOs may be presented to us in their weird form or formless because we have not seen them with our own eyes. But do they exist? That is the question asked here.
There was archeological evidence to support the fact that UFOs have visited earth thousands of years ago but the government wishes to protect us from discovering the real truth. Are we really alone in the cosmic wilderness?
Terima Kasih Rinpoche!
Many speculations about these beings and of course, when and what these ancients and even up until today have experienced have all been debatable subjects.
One that I have heard repeated oft will be the condescending remark that the ancient Egyptians were not humans (given such massive intelligence existing in their past history) as compared to today’s generations which could not even ‘manage’ themselves.
Then another assertion I heard amongst some Christians is that some of the visions of the old Prophets were near descriptions of alien lifeforms but interpreted as ‘angels’ and their own pecking order.
Buddhist cosmology has also been an interesting topic of debate with some speculating that perhaps popular version with the 6 realms and all of its respective classes was not taught by the Buddha but later additions in order to pacify societies’ curiosity then and even now?
And of course the famed government conspiracy theories…
Thank You Rinpoche for the vids and sharing with us.
