I Like These Types of Rooms
I always have wished to live in the mountains with trees, views, lakes and forests since young. If I could I like rooms like this above. Not the exact room but the concept: The ceiling is glass. The walls are glass. And it's mosquito free (hehe). I like the feeling of LIVING OUTSIDE IN THE FOREST. Surrounded by the trees, views, and etc. I don't want to actually live in the forest with no protection so I would want a house not tent..hehehe…as I don't want to be kidnapped by a Yeti or Sasquatch (hehe)…but still feel as I am in the forest. I found this picture and I just love it. Imagine waking up, working, reading, blogging, doing my sadhana, mantras, writing or conceptualizing in such an environment…I really really really love it. I love this type of house, view and setting.
This one is not bad also. I would use a solid earth tone carpet like brown, or grey instead of what's in the picture. But this would be a great great great bedroom/cum work room. I would have a huge Buddha statue in the corner somewhere with offerings of course. But you see what I mean?? I am in a room with huge glass walls/windows where I can see into the 'forest' or trees. I don't want to see into a cityscape, or into other houses or neighbours. No neighbours or faraway neighbours would be ok for me and I wouldn't feel lonely. I just want to wake up, stay awake and finally retire with a forest, trees and greens in view. The view as you see above.
I thought I'd share with you my idea of a room that makes me feel invigorated, relaxed and inspired. I love these type of rooms so much surrounded by a forest.
Tsem Tulku

I like this too…
I always thought that it would be great to make hospitals like this. So instead of seeing only grey and blue walls, patients would see sunlight and nature. I’m sure this isn’t practical, but it is something I always think when I visit hospitals…
Anyhow, these are very beautiful. Thank you for sharing your interests with everyone
Nice pictures! I hope you get your home in the mountains, maybe as part of KWPC. It would make me happy too
Thank you very much John.

Rinpoche, you missed your calling as an interior decorator!
I like the bare, spartan, modernist/Zen look as well, but we heterosexuals have wives who commandeer every available space with their shopping bags, shoes, etc.

I used to live in a house that had one whole side that was windows from floor to ceiling and the rest of the house (except the bathrooms) had windows on the top halves only. It was awsome (except for a couple of those windows held together with duct tape – LOL!) But it has to be my favorite of all the homes I’ve lived in. I hope you get your wish someday, Rinpoche! You’ll so enjoy it!
What beautiful spaces with such higher aesthetic. Thank you for sharing those with us Rinpoche.
These are gorgeous living spaces that connect us with the environment outside, bringing the views within to without and vice versa. Yes, I’d love to be living in the room depicted in the first picture without the mozzies!
All I’ll add is that all the glass walls can be “flexible”, i.e. can be opened up, or out, then it can become make it a glass pavilion or a room – flexible in all sense for the modern adaptable dynamic lifestyle.
A nice fire place for the cooler nights would be an added bonus.
KWPC, here we come!
nice room maybe future our rinpoche wont cheng this room. can see jungle mabe can see animal.i m happy to see animal.i love animal.
I think maybe since Rinpoche really likes the outdoor so much but of course with protection , KWPC committee could seriously think about building the Tsem Ladrang in KWPC according to this specification. It will sure thrills Rinpoche and every visitors. Heightens every senses !
It will be sooooooooooooo Great to make Rinpoche happy.
Rinpoche,
I also have the same wish of having a house like the 1st picture. While I might not have the chance to stay in mountains, but maybe a big land, with lots of trees around, and the house built in the middle.
I wish , i wish. haha!
HH Dalai Lama once said ““Remember that not getting what you want is sometimes a wonderful stroke of luck.” We in Kechara enjoyed that wonderful stroke of luck. Now, it is time to turn that stroke of luck further by working towards the manifestation of KWPC and creating a room with the mountain view for Rinpoche(though KWPC’s location is not exactly the full mountain range of Himalayas). Surronded by statues and greenery, perhaps with a man made pool somewhere. The only thing is by then there will probably be bus loads of tourists visiting at KWPC, so no solitude for Rinpoche unless we build a secret room, hahahahah.
Rinpoche – you are this space … open, receptive, with fundamental spaciousness. Your experience-based teachings reflect that and your shared merit benefits all sentient beings … with deep gratitude and respect.
Dear Rinpoche
I am always looking for a dharma teaching from whatever you blog about so I am wondering if there is a message in this.Yes the pictures are very nice and shows a home that is open plan where the rooms flow into each other. It is so open that it will only appeal to those who have nothing to hide and is not afraid of other people looking in. It is outward looking and not inward looking. I have always liked a house like this because it is so nice with all the elements but then the owner must be able to stand being “checked out”.
Aaahhh….is nice to dream! When i was a kid i wished id have a room with glass cealing so i can see the sky all the time, especially at night. I hope that at least your dream comes true! Not only this dream but everything you set your mind to! With much love and respect from Romania
I love it too and I pray Rinpoche’s wishes be fulfilled quickly.
I like it too!!! Being indoor without bitten by mosquitoes and yet able to enjoy the beautiful view outside. In KWPC, set far away from preying eyes of tourists, Rinpoche can have a dream house like this too!!!
Thank you for sharing these pictures… they are very beautiful! RInpoche has been wishing for this kind of contemporary, spacious living integrated with nature for a long time. I am sure it’s Rinpoche’s previous lives’ imprints of meditating in the forests that is manifesting again in this life. i very much hope that Rinpoche will have Rinpoche’s ‘dream house’ soon.
Dear Rinpoche,
I like these two pictures and I think I like the first picture more because the whole enviroment is transparant and you can see and enjoy the scene better.
I recall 30 years ago I used to drive up to Cameron Highlands to enjoy the cold fresh air and the beauty of nature.I used to walk into the jungle and the further I walked in the place become more quiet. It is so peaceful and nice. The only noise is the noise of the insects and the only sound is the sound of water flowing down stream.
I walked up the hill and looking down the valley there were trees grown quiet closed each other. When the wind blow not only I enjoyed the cold breeze but also is very nice to see the leaves swaying left to right gracefully and the soft sound they made is like they are whispering to you.
Now when KWPC manifest I dont have to drive so far to see all these beautiful nature.
Dear Rinpoche,
Amazing architectural design, what a piece of work. The moment i saw those pictures it reminded me we do have a similar concept resort or getaway place in Malaysia. Perhaps Rinpoche can do Your retreat there.

How divine it would be that, Rinpoche, by weaving the magic of nature’s beauty, is able to bring into existence a sense of openness, calm and harmony to create a “heaven on earth” relaxful environment, to complement especially the sacred practice for Vajra Yogini, amongst uninterrupted views of beautifully landscaped gardens and water features, free from the flow of city traffic and kept hidden from the rest of the world!
Bravo, Rinpoche for sharing your thoughts with us, particularly with this special view, to the develop of KWPC in due course, such a devine idea.
On folded hands with deep gratitude, I thank you Rinpoche for all that you have done for us at Kechara House.

Rinpoche, the manifestation of KWPC will help Rinpoche create the idealroom among the forest, mountain n maybe the waterfall with the natural sound of cascading water. Rinpoche loves solitude.Maybe the forest, the mountains ,naturewith its changing colours from morn 2 eve, seen through the glass walls will make Rinpoche at one n be at home with nature Rinpoche will share n be the very ato that embodies nature around,be itthe swaying rustling leaves n branches of trees that dance with the wind or the golden rays of sun penetrating the crowns of trees n shooting into space.
