David has a good memory and keeps things to heart – especially if it involves Rinpoche. His Dharma knowledge is extensive. He is like a walking encyclopedia.
I enjoyed David’s talk last night very much at KH 1. It was our last big event in KH 1 and David gave us all a sneak preview into Rinpoche’s life. Yes, he did it without looking at any notes or the laptop. Like I said, he has a good memory!
This particular blog post extracted from David’s personal blog is really a good pictorial representation of what Rinpoche likes.
David Lai may be a mama’s boy before met Rinpoche. But when he met Rinpoche, Rinpoche made him move away from his house and stay in a Dharma House. And made him to be independant. His independence has brought many changes to his life and his world and also to learn about Rinpoche’s world. After many trials and tribulations. He wrote his first book THERE IS NO WAY BUT UP through Rinpoche’s constant encouragement. He became Rinpoche’s very close student. David never lose the opportunity to learn more about Rinpoche. David is a very smart guy with very good memory. He wrote and touches on Rinpoche’s world in his blog. And Rinpoche says it is quite accurate. In other words his memory is very sharp good and sharp.
