This week, we are in the Northern region of Malaysia, on the beautiful island called Penang (Pulau Pinang).
As the paranormal episode progresses, it gets even more exciting. This week, I share with all of you 2 paranormal stories…
The first relates to the filming location: Shih Chung Branch School. Around 1885, the very first 5-storey bungalow in Penang once stood as a glorious mansion that was the main talk of the town for years.
Built by a millionaire, it was sold to become someone else’s home. The building was then continuously re-sold to serve as a hotel, a girl’s high school and finally used as the administrative headquarters during the Japanese Occupation in World War II. It has since been abandoned.
The second story relates to my root guru, Zong Rinpoche. As Zong Rinpoche was leaving Tibet during the Cultural Revolution, he experienced 3 separate paranormal incidents.
Watch to find out more…

Dearest Rinpoche, I love your stories – I love your style:-). I am wishing you good health and a very, very long life. Much dharma love
Thank you Rinpoche for your stories!
Dear Rimpoche,
That was a fantastic story…many thanks!
Thank you so much for sharing this with us Rinpoche. I can’t help feeling a great joy and excitement when hearing about guru-devotion, devotion to the dharma of this level, as Rinpoche himself is a living example of. It´s vitalizing and gives me great inspiration! I hope Rinpoche gets better, and thank you for the immense benefit your teachings and example has and have had on my life.
Wish you a long life and good health Rinpoche.
Rinpoche’s stories are so well told and always interesting. All in 1 shoot probably; no planning as to what is said beforehand. Always great. Thank you.
Yeah many schools in fact have such stories, many schools in Ipoh were used as concentration camps and execution grounds for the Japanese.
The second story is real spooky too apparitions appearing behind and next to you.
By the way if we have a paranormal gathering to share stories over drinks and tidbits would anyone be interested to come?
wow, another interestingly spooky story.
Thank You Rinpoche for the story.
I don’t normally like to listen to spooky stories but having to do an assignment, I was “forced” to listen to this particular video. I started listening to it late at night and five minutes into it, I had to switch it off!.I was getting goose bumps and chills down my spine. It was not so much the content that frightened me but the sound effect was giving me the creeps. Well done to the editing team.
Thank you Rinpoche for sharing the story with us.
