This video was shot at Chin Swee temple. It’s about forty-five minutes drive away from Kuala Lumpur. This beautiful temple was built by the late Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong who was a devotee of Reverend Chin Swee.

In these beautiful moonlit and holy surroundings, I would like to share a supernatural incident that happened to me when I was fifteen years old. While I was hitch-hiking from New Jersey to LA, I met an American-Indian guy. He told me about a spirit called Wenatchee who apparently resides on a particular mountain in Arizona. Wenatchee could foretell one’s future!
Being fascinated with Wenatchee, I got off the van and decided to head north in search for the mountain. What was weird was how the moment I got off the van, I couldn’t seem to hitch a ride again! I walked for half a day, exhausted and even walked through the pouring rain.
Slightly fed up, I made a prayer and said, “If I am supposed to meet Wenatchee, then I will get a ride towards the mountain. If I am not supposed to meet Wenatchee, turn around and head in the opposite direction, I will get a ride”.
Watch this video to find out what happened next, and to learn more about why we succeed or fail in certain efforts…

this is such a lovely story Rinpoche. .
especially about the monk, and also the story you tell, about what happened to you .
But I think you did get your message from Wanatchee! Maybe he made sure you went back onto your path! MAybe, sometimes , when & if our fates/karmas are so clear-cut, the oracles don’t need to speak!
bought back my memory of arizona and the yellowstone NP, and the Aspen in Colorado.
Such a great country USA that is.

Firstly, this video is so nice. The story of Chin Swee master is so inspiring. I got to know Chin Swee master from this temple. Then along other temples, I also saw many images of this highly noble attained master which means this master traveled arount to spread teachings and using medicine to save many.
The story Wenatchee is so nice. It is like something unknown, but Rinpoche wanted to find out but conditions forced you to go go to another direction. Perhaps it is all destined. Some things are just so hard to explain. Where is Wenatchee now? How does Wenatchee look like? Only those who need him will see him.
Very nice story! thanks!
Hello,
Could the sacred mountain be the San Francisco Peaks?

You had your deities with you, and he saw. If this being has fore-sight he would have tried to prevent you. Look how Padmasmbhava tame the local deities. The spirit was scared for its way of life.
always learning from you Rinpoche.Thank you
wow, what an interesting story of Rinpoche personal experience in search of Wenatchee. Thank You Rinpoche for the explanation of Ven Chin Swee history.
In Rinpoche’s narration of the Wenatchee’s story, brings me back to his previous blog, “Huge statue of Luang Phor Thuad” in Thailand, where Rinpoche and his entourage had amazingly found that place by ‘chance of fate’ or by total accident. Rinpoche had actually wanted so much to share this with everyone. Whereas, in the incident of Wenatchee, inspite of Rinpochee’s keeness and fascination in wanting to meet him, and after going through thick and thin in search of him, still never was able to see or locate him. Karmic destiny is so amazing and powerful indeed – when karmic seed ripen, things automatically open up to reveal itself without difficulty. It is not something easy to describe or even to understand. It is said,” if the prerequisites and time is right, karma will ripen to its results!”
I guess some things are meant not to be and some are meant to be. Thank you, Rinpoche, for sharing this interesting factual story amidst the beautiful scenes in the background.
i like this story. I do believe that in nature speak to us lots of time.
I love listening and reading stories of spiritual masters.. and when Rinpoche tells the stories, it just comes to live! Thank you for such a well down video.
