Some people I admire, respect or both
I listed some of the people I admire, find interesting, respect, etc… Next to them, I list a few of the qualities I perceive that draw me to them or make me respect, admire them or both or just find appealing. Some of the people I have met or some I have not met, yet their presence, their being, their lives, their particular quality have somehow touched my life and keep me going. They touch other lives or simply the lives of those who interact with them daily.
What I listed as the qualities (not good or bad, just raw neutral qualities) in them which stand out immediately for me but their good qualities are no way limited to just what I see and wrote… I don’t judge people for what they are or not, just some qualities in them I like… For example, Elizabeth Taylor is not a hero of mine per se and certainly she lived her life in a way that some may find unappealing, but that is not what I am talking about. I am talking about her daring to live her life irrespective of criticism from others. I like this particular trait. How she lived and what she did is not for me to judge, but just the single quality of living not from fear of criticism is one quality I like in people. She is just an example for all the others I’ve listed. So I’ve listed off the top of my head some people and the qualities I saw in them… true or false is not the point… this is just a sharing…

I admire, find interesting and/or respect these and many more for various reasons. Some because they never give up. Others because they have honesty and courage. While there are those that in the face of whatever difficulties they are your friends forever – wow. Some are very kind, generous, giving and have only one agenda - because they care they help. Some are very caring as it’s their nature cultivated or spontaneous. A few the way they live their lives is so useful to others.
Some have tremendous inner challenges, yet they know it’s just them and plug on. Some are so stable and just get things done. Some are very good friends. Some I admire because they can make tremendous sacrifices for others. Some just give courage, strength and inspiration because they are unselfish. Some because they explain things to us and we understand more. There are many reasons I admire and respect people. There are more people and reasons than these listed, but these are who comes to mind for the moment… I am sure the list will grow.

To me, it has been so privileged to be able to work with Rinpoche. He tireless working hard for others, and when I work for Him to work for others, the feeling of joy is beyond words…
Thank you very much Rinpoche, These people are really inspiring
Thank you !
Thank you for sharing, Rinpoche. It is inspiring! I will showed my respect to all those people too and learn their good qualities. Thank you and with respect.
Thanks for listing this Rinpoche! It is a great inspiration definitely! and yes this did answer my question. hehe in fact more than I asked for!
Thank you Rinpoche for sharing this. I admire, respect many of them too. Most importantly, for those lovely people who are part of Kechara, they are who they are because they have embrace the qualities from Rinpoche. This is the truth for me.
From Rinpoche I have learnt also tenacity but most of all I have learnt to be kind, generous and compassionate. I have learnt that it is not who I am that succeeds but my purpose and motivation. Who I am is driven and shaped by what I must accomplish. I respect, admire and love Rinpoche. Thank you for making me worthy and purposeful for others.
Good Morning Rinpoche, thank you very much for sharing all the good qualities of these famous people. I am so privileged to able to read your blog and also learn and be inspired by these people. Although I may not be able to cultivate all in one go but I would need to take steps to be more committed in working on the qualities.
With great appreciation, love and respect to all.
All the people mentioned have qualities which are prasieworthy. I felt I lacked many of those qualities which I too admire and wish to have and will endeavour to cultivate them in earnest. Thank you Rinpoche for showing us the way to live our life.
I have admiration for some of the names mentioned here, more admiration for those I personally know and work with in Kechara. But the most admirable is you, Rinpoche. Together with much admiration, there is also much respect and love.
Dear Rinpoche:
These are the very people that I look up to, admire and respect a lot. Their capacity is huge… whether it is for whatever reasons, their determination is admirable. Not giving up, strong and very driven. These are the people who have make an impact in someone’s life, inspiring and very kind.
These people have learned dharma, practice dharma and apply dharma… I hope someday I can achieve the qualities of these very people.
Ethan
One of the many things I have learnt from rinpoche is that if we can recgonise good qualities in others chances are we have identified that in ourselves and others. Most likely we too have that quality for us to easily recognise it in others.
Dear Rinpoche,
Thank you for sharing. Besides the famous leader, Spiritual guide, celebrities, people who stay with Rinpoche through thick and thin are people who deserve the respect.
If those people did not be with Rinpoche when Rinpoche needed support and being put down by people, today we will not have 13 departments, Kechara, and many people will suffer as no Dharma.
Just like what Rinpoche said, we does not need to be rich, famous, highly intelligent etc, but whatever we can do, we do it as good as we can.
Thank you Rinpoche.
